A painful celebration, an awareness of the humanitarian crisis in the contemporary drama: this is the story that Francesco Risso dares to tell in the Marni Fall/Winter 2022/23 show.

Concrete blocks wrapped in wild vegetation, the models parade among the public in a mood darkened by a spot light that illuminates them in contrast in the dark.
The styling is a hymn to the union between the historic and the contemporary: jackets wrapped around the head like headgear, sweaters and trousers in asymmetrical and oversized structures surrounded by amulets and talismans with a medieval feel.

All that emerges is a DIY aesthetic.

The message is clear and the intent validated: the rediscovery of identity in a society in crisis devoted to conformism.
